DrizorDV is an up-and-coming rap artist hailing from Manchester, UK. As a Nigerian coming from a Christian household, he was raised around a lot of gospel and African music. At the age of 12, he began to discover the UK rap scene – his favourite artist at the time being Dave, who he credits as being a big influence on his lyricism and wordplay. Prior to this, R&B and Afrobeats were his go-to genres, with artists such as Wizkid and Davido being two of his favourites. It’s this diverse span of musical influences that gives DrizorDV his musical versatility, creating tracks across a range of rap sub-genres such as Detroit, drill and hip-hop, as well as Afrobeats and melodic wave. His lyrical content is drawn from a combination of real-life experiences and the struggles of growing up in the challenging environment of inner-city Manchester.
